Quartu Sant'Elena

Quartu San’t Elena is located next to Sardinia’s capital Cagliari. It has been growing for the past decennia and it is now the third biggest city of Sardinia. The salt lakes south of the city, the “Stagno di Quartu”, are an important nesting site for migratory birds such as the pink flamingos. The museum Casa Museo Sa Dom ‘e Farra shows over 14.000 traditional farm and domestic instruments, collected by shepherd Gianno Musiu.
