The San Gavino Basilica, dating back to 1111 A.C., is one of the most important Roman structures in Sardinia.
Along the road from Porto Torres to Sassari the pre-Nuragic Santuario di Monte d’Accoddi is situated, a sanctuary dating back to 2400 B.C.. Monte d’Accoddi is the only remaining megalithic altar in the western Mediterranean.
