Lungomare Eleonora d'Arborea, Marina di Torre Grande - Sardinia

Near Oristano and the fishing village of Cabras is the seaside resort of Marina di Torre Grande, halfway along the west coast of Sardinia. During the winter months it is quiet but during the warm summer months the town flourishes. You will find a long, wide sandy beach with a windsurfing school and a promenade with restaurants and cafes. About the accommodation

The 3-room apartment Eleonora d'Arborea has two floors and can accommodate up to four people. The location nearby sea is certainly ideal. You only have to cross the street and your feet are already in the sand. The house offers a living room and kitchen downstairs, equipped with refrigerator, microwave and oven. There are two bedrooms. One room has a double bed and the other bedroom has two single beds. Finally, a bathroom with bath and a terrace with sea view. The presence of air conditioning, Wi-Fi, washing machine and television complete this holiday apartment.

Activities

From the beach of Marina di Torre Grande you look out on the peninsula of San Giovanni di Sinis characterized by the extreme point of Capo San Marco. Directly behind this cape lies the protected marine area of Sinis Mal di Ventre. Here you can enjoy fantastic snorkeling, diving and of course enjoy the most unique beaches, often characterized by fine quartz grains. Beautiful examples are the beaches Is Arutas and Maimoni. The area is also well known for the town of Tharros. Here you can admire Phoenician-Punic archaeological remains.

Torrregrande - also known as Marina di Torre Grande - is not only known for the endless fine, golden yellow beach of the nearby provincial capital Oristano, but also a popular nightlife area during the summer months. Numerous fish restaurants, some chic beach bars and umbrella rental over a length of almost three kilometers ensure a relaxed, typical southern Italian holiday atmosphere. The small holiday village on the Gulf of Oristano is grouped around one of the most massive watchtowers on the west coast, the Gran Torre fortress was built by the Spanish in the 16th century to guard the entire bay.
The Sartigliedda Estiva takes place in Torregrande in summer. The August spectacle shows masks and traditions from the Sardinian carnival stronghold of Oristano.

Discover the province of Oristano in west Sardinia

In the west of Sardinia is the province of Oristano with the capital of the same name. This region is quite flat and has relatively little tourism, the reason for this special region is dominated by olive cultivation, fishing, agriculture and livestock farming! In this region you will find extensive vineyards with the typical Oristan Vernaccia grapes.The extensive tasting of this delicious wine is a must! Taste this wine here! Discover for example the small authentic town Bosa, but also one of the numerous archaeological remains dating back to before our era are certainly worth a visit. Also visit the Sinis peninsula, of which the entire coastal area is a protected area. Capo San Marco is the northern tip of the Gulf of Oristano and is a wonderful place for a small excursion by bike or hike. Take a refreshing dip from one of the beautiful beaches of San Giovanni di Sinis. At the lake of Santa Giusta you can see pink flamingos and other birds that live here in a paradise of their own! Around the fishing village of Cabras is produced the delicious bottarga (roe), which is used in many Sardinian dishes. In the town of Oristano, an equestrian tournament is still held every year during Carnival: "Sa Sartiglia", masked horsemen galloping on steeds at breath-taking speed aim their swords at a tin star.
