Antica Casa di Porto San Paolo - Sardinia
Rural Sardinia begins just beyond the coast of Porto San Paolo. Fields, inaccessible hills and valleys and a few hidden courtyards alternate. Here, only ten minutes by car from the sea, lies this lonely country house, surrounded by the aromatic scent of everlasting flowers and lavender. In addition, the wonderful view of the sea! Up to four guests can spend their holidays in this very special house, furnished with family-owned antiques.
About the accommodation
If you believe the old legends, the Apostle Paul enjoyed the peace and seclusion south of the Gallura. He is also said to have founded the small port that bears his name to this day. Until the early 19th century, however, it was more pirates, smugglers and a few fishermen who inhabited the lonely coastal area. Today, it is vacationers from all over the world who conquer this beautiful coast, the beautiful beaches and the natural wonder of the rocky island of Tavolara.
Today, of course, you are not as lonely here as the biblical hermit. Even though this house is in a wonderfully quiet location, the sea is only ten minutes away by car. Incidentally, the region, which is crossed with hardly used unpaved roads, is also popular with mountain bikers for discovery tours. And when the midday heat broods between the dry stone walls of the fields and you hear the bells of a flock of sheep in the distance, you can enjoy the beautiful view and the silence from the shady terrace on the rocky ridge of Tavolara. No wonder the apostle chose this beautiful patch of earth to eliminate!
