Horse riding in Sardinia at Lake Baratz near Alghero
In the northwest of Sardinia there is a rather unusual natural paradise: the natural beach of Porto Ferro, a dense pine forest and the only natural lake in Sardinia, Lago Baratz. In the shallow inland water, which is only 5 meters deep, seabirds up to terrapins feel good and the lake looks very different depending on the season due to the strongly varying water levels.
Our adventure excursion leads to this spectacular landscape. This tour on the back of a proud Sardinian riding horse is suitable for everyone, even horse lovers without experience and for children. During the 2-hour tour you will pass Lago Barratz from the pine forest which then opens onto a huge sand dune landscape. Then on through the forest to the beach, the northern limit of the Riviera Corallo, the impressive part of the coast of Alghero. The beach of Porto Ferro covers approximately 2 kilometers and is dominated by three Spanish watchtowers from the 17th century. A breathtaking landscape on horseback!
