Sunset Dolphin Watching from Golfo Aranci
A relaxed evening by the sea for the whole family? The trip with the inflatable boat is fun for young and old. And then there are the shy inhabitants of the northeastern coast of Sardinia that are the focus of this fun excursion: the dolphins. The marine mammals, which feel at home here, are not uncommon for Sardinia, but are difficult to observe. But with a bit of luck, you can see some bottlenose dolphins up close on this excursion! A few years ago, a fish farm was established in front of Golfo Aranci, near the beautiful bay of Cala Moresca and the Isola di Figarolo, where sea bream and sea bass are grown. A treat for dolphins that have nested here for years and won't let us disturb, sometimes even swimming with us. The bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) is a dolphin species found in all oceans and is characterized by its gray color, light colored snout and an average length of 270 cm. Bottlenose dolphins usually live in groups of 5 to 20 individuals. And then the sun sets: as the hot planet sets behind the Limbara massif, it bathes the entire bay of Golfo Aranci in an orange-red light. Wow!
