Hotel Maladroxia ****, Sant'Antioco - Sardinia
The small but fine boutique hotel Maladroxia is located on the Sant'Antioco peninsula in the south of Sardinia. The hotel offers a beautiful sea view, swimming pool, restaurant and is less than a hundred meters from the beach. We recommend that you stay in the newly renovated Plus rooms with balcony, so that you can also enjoy the beautiful view over the bay of Maladroxia.
Boutique hotel with swimming pool on the bay of Maladroxia
Hotel Maladroxia is a renovated boutique hotel on Sant'Antioco, situated in a great location on the bay of Maladroxia. From this accommodation you can enjoy a beautiful view over the entire bay, the Gulf of Palmas and you can see nearby Sardinia. In addition to attention to small details, a swimming pool, bar and a restaurant with a view, the hotel offers various room types for every need. It is also wonderful that the beach is a stone's throw away!
Renovated rooms
The Hotel Maladroxia has a total of only 30 rooms. The most beautiful rooms are the sea view suite with a great terrace or veranda high above the sea. They are allrecently renovated and offes a lot of space for families. The Junior Suites Family also offer an extra living room, but overlook the inner courtyard. The Junior Suite Sea View does not have a separate living room, but a wonderful sea view terrace. The deluxe rooms offer a wonderful sea view balcony. If the great view from the pool, restaurant and bar is enough for you, we recommend the small comfort rooms - they are furnished in the new boutique style, but look to the rear of the hotel.
Activities
The Hotel Maladroxia is located south of Sant'Antioco, on the southeast coast of the island of the same name. Via Carbonia and San Giovanni Suergiu you pass the bridge - initially built by the Romans - that connects the mainland of Sardinia with Sant'Antioco. The beautiful and child-friendly bay of Maladroxia is located in the village of the same name and can be reached on foot from the hotel in two minutes. There are also several kiosks and tents on the beach where you can eat a bite or rent a lounger. High above the houses and apartments in the village, the ancient Nuraghe S'Ega de Marteddu towers. Maladroxia is also a perfect starting point for excursions on foot or by bicycle. Sant'Antioco is rough and romantic at the same time. You will find rugged cliffs and the beautiful Arco dei Baci, but also several sandy beaches and beautiful bays.
A perfect stay for those...
Beautiful location by the sea, but at the same time in an environment with plenty to do for all active holidaymakers. You can get around easily and do a lot to return to the hotel at the end of the day for a dip in the sea or an aperitivo by the pool. Maladroxia is our recommendation for you in the south of Sardinia!

Sant'Antioco
Sant'Antioco, with a surface of 109 square kilometres, is the fourth largest island in Italy after Sicily, Sardinia and Elba. The island is connected to its “mother” Sardinia by both a modern 5-kilometre bridge and a narrow isthmus. The remnants of the old Roman bridge are still visible.
In the 8th century B.C. the Phoenicians founded a new settlement, named Sulcis. Afterwards it was conquered by the Romans and the Byzantines. The current city name derives from St. Antiochus, evangelizer of the area.
We recommend visiting the Palaeo-Christian Basilica of Sant'Antioco, built in the 6th century and renovated in the 11th century, and its catacombs with frescoes; the Forte Sabaudo; the necropolis “Tophet”, a Phoenician sanctuary where habitants laid their infants born dead and those that died right after birth.
The island consists of a hilly landscape and rocky coastline. Is Praneddas and the Arco dei Baci are definitely worth a visit. Ferries depart daily from Calasetta to the neighbouring Isola San Pietro.

Aardig hotel, wel extreem gehorig. Verder goed gelegen om het nog niet zo heel toeristische zuiden van Sardinië te ontdekken
