About the accommodation
All Sardinians, and probably most Italians too, are familiar with the story linked to this Sardinian hotel. The famous Italian singer/songwriter Fabrizio De André and his wife Dore Ghezzi used to live in the old landhouse, which dates back to the late nineteenth century. Here, far away from the troubles of the every day life, the peace and quiet inspired the beloved singer to write his beautiful poems and lyrics. After his death his wife Dori ran the hotel, until in 2013 Angelica and Fabrizio took over. While staying at this extraordinary accommodation you can enjoy the tasty meals served in the restaurant, read a good book in the lush garden or near the pool, or visit the numerous mountain villages located in between the vast forests.
Rooms
The hotel consist of two parts. The old country house houses the restaurant as well as two guest rooms on the first floor. The secondary building houses the other 8 rooms overlooking the pool, provided with a private terrace or veranda and the library with fire place. Even though the interior of the rooms may vary, all rooms are decorated in an "arte povera" style. Every room features air-conditioning, a phone, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, a minibar, safe and private bathroom.
A perfect stay for those...
L'Agnata di De André is perfectly suited for travellers looking for an authentic hotel housed in a typically Gallurean country house with a rich history near various cultural and natural sights.

Tempio Pausania
Tempio Pausania, the capital of the Gallura region, is located in the mountainous area at the foot of the Monte Limbara, at ca. 30 kilometres from the sea.
The city dates back to the Roman age (238 B.C.), although the area has been inhabited for far longer considering the presence of numerous “nuraghe”; ancient megalithic edifices developed during the Nuragic Age (ca. 3000 – 800 B.C.), of which Nuraghe Maiori is the most important.
The old city centre is characterised by a typical granite-stone architecture. The Piazza Gallura and the San Pietro Cathedral there constitute the heart of the city. Nearby you’ll find the Oratorio del Rosario and the intimate Santa Croce Church, both dating back to the 15th century.
It’s said that the water of the Rinaggiu spring near the city has excellent curative properties.
A few kilometres south of Tempio Pausania, beyond Monte Limbara, there are several mountain lakes connected by numerous creeks. The water has sculpted the rocks here considerably. We recommend visiting this area during the winter months.
